As an educational professional, you know what it means to juggle multiple priorities.
My goal, and the purpose of my business, is to offer resources and services to help educators manage these priorities, build thriving a career, and still have a life.
Before starting my business, I was a primary school teacher in rural Victoria. My week consisted of teaching, administration, countless meetings, studying and travelling 3 hours to work. I loved what I did and loved being a part of a close and innovative community that worked together to produce our desired outcomes.
I continued to evolve, maximising as many opportunities as possible, and also began to develop business capabilities. I built an early childhood learning centre from the ground up and owned a travel agency.
I also became an author, publisher and founding editor of a national magazine, Talking Kids, the founding editor of ALEA’s Practically Primary, editor of Classroom Magazine for Scholastic Australia and educational writer for News Corporation’s Leader Newspapers.
Having combined business and education successfully, I decided to launch my own learning and development business. Since 2001, I’ve worked internationally with district leaders, principals, and superintendents who chose to invest in their staff. I’ve continued to create content for educationists at Pearson Education and helped train presenters for delivering our national content.
I can’t recall how many workshops and presentations I’ve given; I know it must be hundreds.
My latest successes are my new publications: The Ultimate Parent Teacher Interview – two volumes that have become the blueprint for helping educators and parents to find practical approaches and solutions to situations they face every day.
One thing I’ve learned in my work over many years is that many people have the potential to become top performing educators, but often need help to realise their full potential.
My goal is to help you to harness your creativity and energy, and to make big things happen in your career. I trust the resources and services I offer will give you the nudge you need.
